2.1 Information We DO NOT Collect

Smart BLE Hub is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Location data or GPS coordinates
Bluetooth device data or communication logs
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID)
Contact lists or calendar data

2.2 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers:

App Preferences: Theme settings, haptic feedback preferences, notification settings
Control Templates: Custom BLE command templates you create
Automation Rules: If-This-Then-That rules for automated BLE commands
Connection History: Recently connected device names and addresses
Statistics: Local usage statistics (commands sent, connection time)
Exported Logs: Terminal logs you choose to export

All locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data.

3. App Permissions

Smart BLE Hub requires the following Android permissions to function:

BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_SCAN

Required to discover, pair, connect to, and communicate with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices.

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Required by Android (API 30 and below) for BLE scanning. We do not access, store, or transmit your actual location.

FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE

Allows the app to maintain BLE connections in the background for continuous monitoring.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Used to display connection status notifications and foreground service indicators.

VIBRATE

Enables haptic feedback for button presses and notifications (can be disabled in settings).

INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

Required for receiving push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging and checking for app updates.

4. Third-Party Services

Smart BLE Hub uses the following third-party services to improve functionality and user experience. These services may collect certain data as described below:

4.1 Firebase Services (Google)

We use multiple Firebase services provided by Google:

Firebase Analytics

Collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how users interact with the app. This includes session duration, feature usage, and general device information. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Firebase Crashlytics

Automatically collects crash reports when the app encounters errors. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports include device type, OS version, and stack traces but do not contain personal data.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

Used to send push notifications about app updates and important announcements. FCM uses anonymous device tokens for notification delivery.

4.2 Google Play Billing

Smart BLE Hub offers premium features through in-app purchases processed by Google Play Billing. When you make a purchase:

Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play
We do not have access to your payment card details
Google may share purchase confirmation and subscription status with us
Your purchase history is tied to your Google account

4.3 Google Play Services

The app is distributed via Google Play Store and uses Google Play Services for license verification and app updates.

5. Data Security

Since Smart BLE Hub stores all user data locally on your device:

Your data is protected by your device's security (lock screen, encryption)
We cannot access your stored data remotely
There is no risk of server-side data breaches affecting your information
You have full control over your data at all times

6. Children's Privacy

Smart BLE Hub is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

You have complete control over your data:

Access: View all stored data within the app
Export: Export terminal logs and statistics
Delete: Clear app data or uninstall to remove all stored information
Opt-out: Disable notifications in Android settings
